The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

Cinder is about a cyborg, named Cinder who lives with her stepmother and step sisters. (sound familiar?) Anyway, Cinder is a mechanic who is hired by the prince, Kai, who needs her to fix his droid for some unknown, but seemingly important, reason. Their story is filled with twists and turns as they fight for both their countries and each other. Along the way, they meet Scarlet, a french farm girl, Wolf, a genetically modified human, Thorne, a cocky ex-pilot, Cress, an intelligent hacker, Winter, a beautiful princess, Jason, a royal guard, and Iko, a friendly droid. Each person has their own story which will lead them all to each other.

The Lunar Chronicles is one of the few series that we’ve read that has several individual storylines that all converge into one amazing adventure! Although these books are based on classic fairy tales, they seem like their own stories. These books are a must read!

To all the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han

Lara Jean has written 5 love letters. Whenever she has a crush, she pours out her feelings onto paper, and then tucks them away in her hatbox, where they will stay forever. Until one day, when they seem to have disappeared, and found their way into the hands of the boys she wrote about. One of those boys is Josh, her neighbor and older sister's ex boyfriend. Soon, Lara Jean finds herself wrapped in a tangled web of lies and deceit, that may have led her to the romance of a lifetime.

Lifelike characters, coupled with seamless storytelling, make this one of the most beautifully realistic YA series. Lara Jean’s quirky personality makes her all too relatable, and her whirlwind romance will have you longing for more. Additionally, her bond with her father and sisters makes the characters even more lovable.

Legend by Marie Lu

The Republic and The Colonies have been at war for as long as anyone can remember, ever since the United States divided. Growing up in the Republic, every child participates in the Trials when they turn 10 years old. Their performance in these tests determines their future. Only one student has ever earned a perfect score, June Iparis, a calculating prodigy. Later, she is sent to hunt down Day, a trouble-making convict, after he is accused of murdering her brother. Although, they soon realize the true lengths that their country went through to keep them apart. Maybe they aren't so different after all.

This series is INCREDIBLE! The characters are so lifelike, and realistic. There is never a dull point. Marie Lu does an incredible job building her world and story to make it unique, enchanting and equally heartbreaking. You will laugh and cry with the characters and the series will leave you searching for more.

The Selection by Kiera Cass

America Singer lives in Carolina, one of the 35 provinces in the country of Illea. One girl from each province is chosen to enter a competition of a lifetime, the Selection. The Selection is the chance for one girl to win not only the prince's heart, but also the crown. Any girl in their right mind would be thrilled to be chosen, but not America. America only entered for her family because if you participate your family is sent a compensation, which her family desperately needed. When America is chosen to be the girl from Carolina she is not excited. Upon arriving at the palace, she suffers from a panic attack and is helped by a handsome young man who turns out to be Prince Maxon himself. When the two form a secret friendship, they begin to wonder if it could be something more.

This adorably frustrating will they, won’t they romance is beautifully written. Kiera Cass has a way of bringing these fictional characters to life by creating a universe filled with secrets and excitement. These books will brighten anyone’s day and make you wish you were a princess! (or prince.)

The Maze Runner by James Dashner

When Thomas wakes up in a metal elevator he remembers only one thing, his name. He soon discovers that the only exit is through the top and into the Glade. The Glade is a large field filled with boys just like Thomas, they all came through the Cage and have no memory of their past lives. The boys do know however, that the only way out is through the ever-changing Maze. A new boy shows up in the Cage every month with supplies, they have no idea where they come from. Everything changes when the supplies mysteriously stop coming and a girl arrives at the Glade with a note, “she is the last one.”

These books leave you at the edge of your seat. They are action packed and filled to the brim with adventure. They will keep you rooting for Thomas and his friends as they face seemingly endless challenges.

We hope you all enjoy! Comment any other book suggestions, or what you want us to write about next.
